Leadership is not Gender-Dependent

The definition of leadership is different for different people.

For George R. Terry, “Leadership is a relationship in which one person influences others to work together willingly on related tasks to attain what the leader desires.”

According to Koontz and O’Donnell, “Leadership is the process of influencing people so that they will strive willingly towards the achievement of group goals.”

For Chester I. Bernard, “Leadership refers to the quality of the behaviour of the individual whereby they guide people on their activities in organised work.”

There are many other such definitions of leadership, but not a single definition states the gender of a leader. It is the result that matters.

In today’s competitive business world, what organizations look for is strong leadership. It doesn’t matter which gender fills that space.
